Rosamund Pike stars as a greedy capitalistic guardian in the 2020 film I Care a Lot, a film that unabashedly follows an "anti-hero." However, I Care a Lot flounders in its attempt at convincing the audience to actually follow the protagonist on her journey to moral decay. On the other hand, the 2014 thriller Nightcrawler perfected the anti-hero story, somehow providing the audience with a hero they can't help but love to hate. How did Nightcrawler achieve this difficult feat? Where does it differentiate from I Care a Lot, and what can learn about narrative structure from these films successes and mistakes?

Hey everyone, sorry about the lateness on this. Probably don't even have to say it at this point, but the upload schedule is basically whenever I have time, as this isn't a full time gig by any means. I do it for fun! And to keep giving this my all I have to prioritize the entertainment of it all. Meaning, be ready for more inconsistent uploads! I'll try my best to pump videos out, but rushing the process will probably make for a worse product that I have not as much fun making. SO! Get ready for more videos, but savor them when they come out. Thanks for watching and supporting through the slow uploads!
