2020 may have not been the best year of all time by any means, but it has provided one silver lining for Hunger Games fans with author Suzanne Collins releasing the prequel novel in the Hunger Games world, ‘The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’. The prequel novel was very well received and fans were jubilant as they returned to the dystopian world of Panem. After the success of the original trilogy’s transition from book to screen it was unsurprising that a movie for ‘Ballad’ was quickly optioned, with Lionsgate putting the movie into development. We know roughly what the story will focus on due to the plot of the novel, but right now we don’t have much in the way of details for the movie. Thankfully, our good friends at New York Comic Con have helped out our insatiable appetites by providing us an exclusive slice of information on the upcoming movie.
