BACKGROUND and MEANING:
We had Hamilton tickets for April (so sad) and started playing one of our fav songs as consolation - together with Amazing Grace, it deepens the meaning of both songs: "History" is sung by George Washington to a young Hamilton, about his failings at the start of his career; and "Amazing Grace" was written by a former slave trader, repenting his actions. Both sing about the transformative power of knowing History/Grace is watching over you. Even if you feel invisible at this time, Grace and History have got your back. YOU DO MATTER. Love always ~
