In this video I show you one way to make a wood ring with a stainless steel comfort core.
I'm assuming you have a lathe and tools. The supplies to make just the ring are less than $5. This is a great project where you can make a really nice ring. All supplies came from my shop Turnerswarehouse.com please check it out.
