Audi and quattro (lowercase q) seem to be just intrinsically linked. The idea of a car from Audi without all four wheels driven by a sophisticated all-wheel-drive system seems weird now. But it’s actually only been around since the late 1970s.
The original Quattro (capital Q) might be the most famous example of Audi’s four-wheel-drive technology, but there have been plenty of brilliant cars from Audi fitted with the legendary system since. Whether it be a racing car – in the case of the frankly bonkers 90 GTO – a road-going sportscar – the TT – a slightly mad estate car – the RS2 – or an unexpectedly cool car – the 200 quattro – Audi and quattro has been producing the goods for the last 41 years.
These are our favourite quattro-driven Audis of all time. But you should let us know in the comments which ones you really desire.
