This week I got behind the wheel of an Audi Q3... the smallest and most affordable way to get an Audi SUV! I enjoyed the stylish design and typical Audi build quality. The MMI system is also quite an improvement and leaves very little to be desired. With the now standard S-Line package, I wanted to see how this crossover did in the 45 TFSI form.

Unfortunately it doesn't quite live up to driving experience of its hot-hatch cousins, and feels both a bit clumsy and overweight. This is of course due to the FWD biased nature of its Haldex system and subsequent engine placement (ahead of the front axle).

If however you simply do not care about those unpleasant sensations, or believe you aren't perceptive enough to notice them, then you may have just hit the crossover jackpot! The Q3 is evidently a car that people aspire to, and for good reason, it's a stylish and well built German product!

It isn't quite the GTI alternative I was hoping it would be, but it does shine when compared to much of its competition, and I guess that'll do! Watch the video to find out even more and to see how the Q3 performs on the Tall Boy Test!!!!!
