The circuit of Spa-Francorchamps has changed a lot in the past few years. When they wanted to attract the FIA World Rallycross Championship, the old pitboxes and grand stands to the left of the track that leads up to the Raidillon, were removed. About a year ago, our social media news feeds were suddenly flooded with images of further so called 'improvements' that were in the works for the Belgian Race Track. Next to adding gravel traps for Moto GP, the entire grand stand infrastructure next to Eau-Rouge would be demolished and rebuilt. Everyone was skeptical, and today we're finding out wether that skepticism was necessary, or whether the governing body of Spa-Francorchamps made the right call. Spoilers: This is the best thing to happen to the track in YEARS.
