War is never a rosy picture, instead of an action scene i just depicted the victorious US Military in this Diorama .The Gulf War was when our generation witnessed the largest battlefield conflict after WW2. A mighty benevolent WAR endeavor if you will, when America and its allies answered a plea for help from a small nation that is Kuwait.
It was also a time when we witnessed the power of media made possible by CNN where WAR was reported to the world 24/7.

I. Materials/Kits:
I originally wanted to build an M1A1 Abrams but due to my lack of knowledge and technical expertise on this subject, i opted to go for the safer LAV-25 "piranha" version of Trumpeter and the ubiquitous HUMVEE of Academy.

The figures are from Dragon and Tamiya as they had available Gulf War/Desert Kits. I prefer the Dragon Figures over Tamiya (Old Mold 200) due to its crisp detail and accurate anatomy. Were it not for Dragon figs, the Diorama would have been YUCK! with that awful TAMs! I did fig conversions/modifications on some to accentuate the poses.

II. Challenges:
Desert Sand actual Colors, Figure painting, Camo Paint Schemes, LAV-25 Gun Barrel that came from the kit were "fluted" and did not represent the early 1991 version of the LAV so i improvised, Tamiya figures with awkward anatomy. (should have gone full scratch build), lastly, the US Flag, printed on a lousy inkjet even the colors were not sharp. Oh well....

I have a cold and fever so my voice seems off. Thank you guys for the continued support. I hope you are entertained.
