When GT Dave spoke to Forbes Magazine, he felt as though he was "on top of the world." The more than a decade he put into building his Kombucha company and popularizing the Eastern drink in America had finally hit validation.

Little did he know that the Forbes video would portray him as the posterchild of the out-of-touch billionaire class. Things went from bad to worse when mega-popular YouTuber @CodyKo and his friend @thenoelmiller reacted to the video in a video that has now been seen more than 13 million times, solidifying GT place as a cold, elitist tycoon.

This is when GT decided to "embrace the meme," and invited Cody and Noel to his home.

GT was able to show them that he was a normal, empathetic person. More importantly, that he was a nice guy who spent 24 years making his vision of Kombucha, originally thought of as weird, accepted by Americans.

If you look at the orignal Forbes interview now, the majority of the commentors are actually defending GT, and sayign that he was portrayed unfairly. Quite rare in this era of populism.
