Il progetto Binary Core nasce dalla collaborazione in perfetta simbiosi artistica di Salvo Volpe e Amedeo Mignano, che durante gli anni di studio accademico in conservatorio, si sono costantemente dedicati alla ricerca ed analisi di svariate forme compositive provenienti da qualsiasi genere.
La reciproca passione per la buona musica e l'amore per la scrittura, unitamente all'efficacia del loro lavoro di squadra, ha presto dato origine a moltissime idee, concretizzate poco dopo in composizioni di diversa natura.
La peculiarità del progetto consiste, come suggerisce il nome, in un nucleo formato da due persone, in grado di estendersi un numero indefinito di volte in base alla rappresentazione che si intende esprimere, esattamente come il codice binario in informatica che, costituito dai due elementi numerici primordiali "0" e "1", è in grado di moltiplicarsi e combinarsi all'infinito per creare caratteri e linguaggi più complessi.
Trasferendo questo concetto in campo musicale, la scrittura dei Binary Core attinge pienamente da tutti i linguaggi stilistici, creando molteplici collegamenti atti a rafforzare il messaggio comunicativo e descrittivo di ogni singolo brano.
