Eshu is an incredibly important orisha because everyone has to go through him whether be the living or dead. Those who want to have access to the other orisha must call upon eshu to open the door to the spirit world, therefore he will be present at every single orisha event. And an offering will be made to him regardless of who you are worshiping. He is also a Psychopomp which means he guides the dead to the afterlife.
