With this in mind, we’re going to discuss the details pertaining to how to create a blog on WordPress with Bluehost 2023 style. Seeing as Bluehost is such a prevalent web hosting option, many of you are more than likely interested in the subject—plus, Bluehost is extremely easy to use as well. Nevertheless, let’s take a look!

Before discussing the details of a Bluehost WordPress blog, some of you might be wondering what WordPress is. For those that don’t know, WordPress is an open-source content management system that’s available for free on WordPress.org. WordPress.com offers a separate version of WordPress that doesn’t require a host, but this route tends to be nowhere near as versatile.

Besides WordPress, the other side to the tutorial you need to be aware of is Bluehost. Bluehost is one of many web hosting companies—essentially granting online availability for your website, causing your domain and site to go live. For actually installing WordPress and having a site that isn’t made on a site builder, you’ll need a web host. That’s where Bluehost comes into play.

Now that you know the details related to WordPress and Bluehost, here comes the part of actually making your blog. As complicated as this might seem, Bluehost does an excellent of walking you through steps.

First and foremost, you need to pick a hosting plan. Once you’re on Bluehost’s website, you’ll notice the few hosting plans they offer to select from.

Before thinking you need to get the best plan, realize Bluehost’s most affordable option is perfectly suitable for a blog. Considering this is the most cost-effective option, you might as well go the cheap route to begin. Plus, you can always upgrade it whenever you need to.

Once you get a hosting plan selected, here comes the challenging part of registering a domain. Most Bluehost options allow you to register a domain, which is always a benefit. If you already own a domain from somewhere else, you can connect it at this point, but either route will work well.

When picking your domain, try to think of something that’ll fit your website well, is easy to remember, and isn’t super long. For example, if you have a music blog, musicblog.com or ilovemusic.com, both work beautifully. Whereas 1234music3689drum .com is impossible to remember. See the difference?

From here, you’ll be prompted with a page for entering your account information, package information, payment, etc. Once you finish that you can move on.

Nowadays, Bluehost automatically installs WordPress onto your site unless you specify otherwise. How great is that? Once all of your information is typed in and completed, you’ll be greeted with a Welcome to Bluehost page. From here, click on the create password button, make a password, and you’re done!

After you’ve successfully installed WordPress onto your site, you can either pick a theme and mess around with it some more on Bluehost or access your WordPress dashboard. To do this, type in /wp-admin onto the end of your site’s URL. Once logged in, familiarize yourself with everything on the dashboard (posts, appearance, plugins, etc.)

After looking over everything on your dashboard, choose a WordPress theme by going to appearance and clicking theme. You can either pick any of the themes available from WordPress or upload a theme you’ve downloaded or purchased from another theme marketplace like Themeforest. Install, and look over tips to get your website looking how you want!

Once your theme is installed, now comes the fun part of actually editing and working on your blog. This will be the lengthiest amount of time, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll realize it’s not as bad as it looks. Nevertheless, congrats! You successfully learned how to create a blog on WordPress with Bluehost 2023 style!
