Location: San Juan Mountains, Colorado. Between Rico and Purgatory

Type: 25 mile Mountain Pass, connecting highway 145 and 550

Features: Mountain scenery, abandoned uranium mine, wild flowers, forests, rock and dirt trail

Bolam Pass was rumored to be a "rough" trail, but we went after some recent maintenance and found it to be fairly easy, yet scenic. It connects highway 145 to 550 between Rico and Purgatory Colorado.
