"We got in and we said, 'Okay, stop right now. Stop production. We need to get things figured out.' There’s a lot of room for optimization here and so we literally - no pun intended - we lifted up the hood, started looking at the nuts and bolts of it and said, 'Okay, we’ll clean this up. We’ll clean that up, clean this up.'"

Chris Dawson was appointed CEO in April after joining the Arcimoto board of directors in August 2022. He previously worked at Tesla and joined the Arcimoto board when the company was floundering, suffering financial losses and teetering on collapse.
