We sold our “overland” rock crawling Toyota Tacoma. But… we still wanted to enjoy the same trails and overnight camp as needed. Our goal with the Yamaha Wolverine RMAX was to rock crawl and haul enough gear to comfortable camp on the trails.

The most helpful addition was the bed rack. This enables us to: carry a full size spare tire, flag mount, shovel, rotopax 2 gallon water jugs and our camping gear bins. The next challenge was to locate the largest and best fitting plastic bins for the camping gear. We wanted to maximize our storage capacity yet remain compact.

Our camping gear includes: 4 man tent, 3”+ Inflating Foam mattress, compact pillows, sleeping bags, clothes, chairs, books, headlamps, dewalt USB charger, butane stove, bowls, utensils, freeze dry meals, oatmeal, coffee, Aeropress, soap, paper towels, wet wipes, hand towel, quick dry towels. Essentially all the essentials with some luxury items thrown in.

Not a bad way to camp for two people in a tiny side by side.
