In this video created for the special exhibition Dig Deeper: Discovering an Ancient Glass Workshop, watch our Hot Glass team shape a glass vessel at a custom-built replica ancient glassblowing furnace.

This type of jar with two handles was made and found at the 4th-century glassblowing workshop of Jalame, excavated by the Corning Museum of Glass and University of Missouri.

Jar with Two Handles and Applied Zig-Zag Decoration, made between 300-425 in ancient Syro-Palestine. 69.1.33. (https://glasscollection.cmog.org/obje...)
