After a stunning showcase at Inspirefest 2019, Debbie O'Reilly from Dublin City University (DCU) was named Researchfest champion and given the chance to present her research into possible cures for cancer on the main stage.

Researchfest 2019 was judged by Prof Christine Loscher, associate dean for research at the School of Biotechnology in DCU; Julie Byrne, head of external collaborations at Nokia Bell Labs; Ken Finnegan, CEO of Tangent; and Prof Arlene Gallagher, director of the Trinity Walton Club and assistant professor of the School of Physics in Trinity College Dublin.
