With the world seriously looking at the idea of colonising and living on Mars, and with companies like SpaceX and NASA developing the technologies that could one day make that a reality, there's something important that we've got to figure out: food. How do we feed future Martian inhabitants trying to make a life on the red planet? There's a bunch of different technologies that could be used, like hydroponics, but what if we could grow it in Martian soil itself? That's what I look at in this episode as I try to grow a salad in the closest thing to Mars soil that's available...
