In 1999 Margaret was suffering from stress incontinence as a result of natural childbirth.

Her consultant asked her if she would try a new procedure, which would involve inserting mesh tape that would act like a sling to support the urethra.

This procedure would cause Margaret, and others like her, a number of life-changing medical problems.
