Ever since the BMW X3 came out in 2004, BMW has resisted doing a full performance M version. Now, BMW is no stranger to high performance SUV's with the X5 and X6 M. For 2020, the M line-up has been expanded to include the #X3M and #X4M. Based on the latest generation introduced in 2018, the new BMW X3 M and BMW X4 M showcase an entirely new inline 6-cylinder for BMW called the S58. Its a twin-turbo single scroll straight 6, available in two tunes... 473 HP and 503 HP in the #X3MCompetition and #X4MCompetition. #BMW says these two SUV's have all the necessary hardware to be a true M performance model and this new #S58 engine should preview the next generation #BMWM3 as well. Is this now considered to be the ultimate driving SUV?
