People suffering from depression or anxiety could lose access to Personal Independence Payments (PIP) as part of UK Government welfare reform plans to be outlined in a new online consultation due to be published on April 29.
Secretary of State for Work and Pensions Mel Stride told The Times that the Green Paper will include proposals to stop regular payments for a range of 'less severe' mental health issues and instead provide “meaningful support” such as Talking Therapies and social care packages.
