Detailed review and test of the BYD Dolphin 60kWh, including electric range, performance, ride quality, handling, price and specs.

The BYD Dolphin is the latest entrant to the growing affordable EV segment, joining the already-launched MG4 and the GWM Ora here in Australia.

Today, we’re testing the $46,000 (driveaway) BYD Dolphin Premium variant with the 60.5kWh usable battery and 150kW of power (201 hp).

Later, we will review the base model Dolphin Dynamic, with the smaller battery and much less power.
Rivals to the EQE SUV are chiefly the Audi Q8 E-tron and BMW iX3 and iX.
