Erin Morgenstern discusses her novel, "The Starless Sea", at Politics and Prose.

Morgenstern made a literary splash with The Night Circus, a magical story of love tested and found true at Le Cirque des Reve. Her eagerly awaited second novel leaves the big top for the library, where Zachary Ezra Rawlins, a graduate student, discovers a book that includes his own story along with those of prisoners, acolytes, and key collectors. Tantalized, he sets off on a quest to learn more, and at last ends up in an underground archive of lost cities, ghostly lovers, and endlessly told stories. There, he joins Mabel and the elusive Dorian to find his place and purpose in the world.

Morgenstern is in conversation with Bethanne Patrick, 'hot books' columnist for The Washington Post Book World and reviewer for the section, as well as for NPR Books, TIME Magazine, and The LA Times.
