Ingredients:
Medium Rava - 1 cup
Beans Finely Chopped - 100 grams
Carrot Finely Chopped- 2
Grated coconut - 2 fist
Sugar - 8tsp (As per sweetness)
Green chilli - 2
Ghee(optional) - 1tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1and half tsp (As per taste)
Water - 2 and half cup
Seasoning:
Oil
Mustard - 1tsp
Urad dal - 1tbsp
Curry leaves - 2 to 3 sprig
Onion - 1
Preparation:
* First heat the empty pan and add a few tablespoons of oil, let the Mustard splutter then add 1 tbsp of urad dal. Fry till urad dal turns brown.
* Add curry leaves.
* Add 1 Onion.
* Add 2 Green chilli.
* Add Finely Chopped Beans. Fry for few minutes.
* Add Finely Chopped Carrot.Fry for few minutes.
* Add half tsp of Turmeric powder.Mix it.
* Add 2 and half cup of water.
* Add 1 and half tsp of salt.
* Add 8tsp of Sugar (As per sweetness).
* Add 2 fist of Grated coconut.
* Let it boil Once boiled then add rava and whisk quickly.
* Cook for couple of minutes, sprinkle 1tbsp of ghee all over & mix.
* Cover and cook on the lowest flame until the water is completely absorbed(2 to 4 mins).
* Upma/Sajjige is ready.
