My biggest issue with iPad screen protectors is that they suck the life out of my iPad’s screen or accessories. BUT in the last while, I’ve come across a product that checks off all my iPad screen protector needs! Now…this product, is it a tempered glass screen protector, a paper-like/matte protector, glass film or magnetic removable protector?

Here are my top picks for each type of screen protector:

Glass Film - ESR Armorite Protective Film (My overall top pick) - https://mreh.ca/3UzO22t

Matte/Paper - Paperlike (make sure it’s the newest version) - https://mreh.ca/3QIV8Qf

Matte Film:
-Primarily used for iPads with Apple Pencils and gaming due to its friction that mimics paper.
-Pros: Enhances the feel of writing and gaming controls.
-Cons: Difficult to install; wears down stylus nubs faster and can make fingers tired due to increased resistance.
-Top recommendations: Paperlike (https://mreh.ca/3QIV8Qf) for its balance between writing ease and gaming, and Spigen PaperTouch (https://mreh.ca/3QpR2Mv) for easier installation.

Glass Film:
-Ideal for users who don’t frequently use the Apple Pencil and prefer a glass-like appearance without the risk of chipping.
-Made of thin, clear polycarbonate, not actual glass, offering good screen protection and scratch resistance.
-Challenges include noticeable edges that can gather dust and tricky installation.
Best choice: ESR Armorite (https://mreh.ca/3UzO22t) for its scratch resistance and helpful installation tools.

Tempered Glass:
-Provides excellent scratch protection at a Moh's hardness of 6 or 7, preserving the iPad's screen clarity and color.
-Thicker, which may cause gaps with accessories like smart keyboards and can feel slick with some cases.
-Not recommended due to the risk of edge chipping leading to cracks.
Alternative suggestion: Spigen GlasTr (https://mreh.ca/3y2a2dw) for those still interested, noted for better edge finishing.

Removable Screen Protectors:
-Convenient for users who need flexibility to switch between writing and watching content, generally featuring a matte finish.
-Attach via magnets, but no adhesive on the main screen area can lead to dust and debris accumulation, risking scratches.
-Portability and maintenance might be tedious as it requires carrying extra storage and cleaning materials.
Recommended product: Bellemond (https://mreh.ca/3y2alFc) for its superior texture and usability.
