Before the Bugatti Veyron there was this, the Volkswagen W12. It was the Volkswagen Group's first supercar with a W-formation engine, developed and built by the same small team that conceived the mighty Veyron.

Dr Ulrich Eichhorn managed that small team of engineers. In this video he explains why Volkswagen produced the W12 concept car and how it shattered world records as it covered 5000 miles in less than 24 hours – averaging more than 200mph.
