Nobody would believe that CHAT, the Chico Housing Action Team in Chico, CA (down the hill from Paradise destroyed by the Camp Fire in 2018) is less than 10 years old. How much this charitable grassroots organization has been able to achieve in eight short years towards housing the homeless is nothing but mesmerizing. And more still is in the pipe because so much more needs to be done. In this video, CHAT Executive Director Leslie Johnson recaps their achievements and makes a plea for donations towards their latest endeavor: Everhart Village, a project of cute little cabins to house clients of Butte County Behavioral Health.
