I thought it would be fun to measure the speed of light in a simple and understandable way that could be duplicated at home or in a school or university lab. The simple part is key - everything used is in plain sight, unlike some experiments I have seen where the components are in the form of pre-built lab modules hiding whats actually going on.

This video is about carrying out the experiment. I will post a follow-up video with the parts list and further details and suggestions about how to assemble the parts and perform the experiment, or how to do other variations of it.
