Faith, derived from Latin fides and Old French feid, is confidence or trust in a person, thing, or concept. In the context of religion, one can define faith as "belief in God or in the doctrines or teachings of religion".

Napoleon Hill, in his book "Think and Grow Rich", discusses the power of faith and how necessary it is if we are to achieve our desires. Whether you approach it from a secular or religious point of view, there is no mistaking its' importance.

The Bible touches on it on several different occasions;

Romans 10:17 - So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
