My favourite filtration technique which is completely lost in contemporary cinematography, "netting lenses" provides a unique dreamy quality and was used on my favourite film for cinematography "Snow Falling on Cedars".

Movies such as Atonement, and much of Janusz Kaminski's work utilise this technique, and I will definitely be using it in the future for certain projects.

Shot on a Sony A7rV and 50mm 1.4. I netted these lenses from a filter on the front, but the best way is to net from the back. I will upload a video on this soon.
