Students will learn how to work non-destructively when modeling. Students will also learn about modifiers which are some of the major tools in Blender necessary to modeling.

UIF STEM Tutorials: This course covers 3D modeling in Blender. Students will be introduced to 3D graphics, modeling, animation, and the industries that rely heavily on these skills. Students will learn basic techniques in modeling while building up to a full scene with a character and backdrop. Major tools in Blender necessary to modeling will be explored including scaling, rotating, working with primitives and proportional editing, adding topology, and the difference between destructive and non-destructive modeling. The course is primarily for middle school and high school students starting at an introductory level. Blender is a free software available on laptop and desktop.
