Who doesn’t like hidden places? Southern Indiana has many interesting and quirky sites to see, if you know where to look! Take for example a place, high above New Albany, and even the highway, that most residents don’t even know is there!

Buffalo Art Park is a place where two huge, white, buffalo, quarried from Lawrence County’s Empire Quarry, the same quarry that produced the Empire State Building, stand to commemorate the ancient buffalo trace. This ancient migratory path was so well worn, that Native Americans used it as a highway across Indiana, all the way to Vincennes! In fact, Highway 150 was paved on top of the buffalo trace!

Worthy of having your picture taken next to it, it’s a completely free and fun roadside attraction!
