The 1999 Ford of Ireland Ford KA Rally Championship was the first, one make; manufacturer supported Championship in the history of Irish Rallying. Derek Daly dominated the Championship, taking four outright victories out of the seven rounds but due to the incredible competitiveness of the Championship, he had to fight every step of the way right up until the final round, to secure the title.
