It Should also work for Android v.4 trough Android v.13. I used free Samsung Smart Switch App downloaded from Google Play Store to transfer data and apps including WhatsApp. I also used EasyShare App which is free on this day from Google Play store. But it's optional and doesn't affect WhatsApp chats restore on new phone. I also used Fasgear USB C to Micro USB Cable to connect New Samsung Galaxy A23 5G to Moto G5 Plus for fast and reliable data transfer.
7:14 If you don't see Databases folder just copy this whole folder from SD card where it was copied to from old phone previously. Same for Media folder.
I just did the second time WhatsApp transfer from Moto G6 Play to Samsung a23 5G Android 13 with the same method I described in this video and it worked.
