TO A CHILD

Soft as the kiss of a whispered breeze,
Like sunshine to a shadowed heart,
You play the sparkling moments
As an angel sings of hope and joy.

Her prayers ascend to Heaven for other angels
To go before and behind you
As you meet a wretched world,
That those touched by you may be touched
By the healer, the Fount of Joy.
