A good sense of humor can carry you far in your career. A survey conducted by Robert Half revealed that 91% of executives believe that humor is an important trait for career advancement. In addition, 84% of respondents believe that funny people do a better job. In fact, people with a good sense of humor are perceived to be more successful and have better leadership skills.
Fun often gets a bad rap in the workplace. People associate fun with play. If we’re playing, we’re not working. Therefore, if we’re having fun, we’re not being as productive as we should be. Guess what? That’s not always true! There are actually several benefits to having fun at work.
