Its the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year and I'm heading out solo in the Jeep Cherokee XJ for an remote overnight winter camp in the wilderness. Temperatures have been fluctuating and a storm recently passed which has created granular snow, or sugar snow as they call it here. Although the snow level isnt high the traction is very low, especially on inclines. These conditions are notorious for axle hop as the snow does not stick together and has the consistency of sugar, so low pressures and the chains are on to help get some grip.
This was a pretty chilled camp before the holidays begun, hope you all have a Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year.
