Hello you, I hope you're good! This is part one of two of my trying to actually get my life back together with a flip phone! I'd noticed that I'd really started to get addicted to my phone and scrolling on social media especially after the lockdowns and I knew that something had to change since my life was literally passing me by. I've tried apps in the past to block the social media apps, but I'd always just turn them off lol, so I needed something a bit more drastic. So I'm trying out a flip phone/dumb phone!
It took me a while to find one that could work for my life, but I finally settled on the LG Smart folder which I got from eBay for around 60 pounds. It has GPS, google maps and an android setting on it so I can still connect to people via whatsapp etc! In this part, I set up the phone and chat with my friend Petros and my partner Rain about how we used to live or lives without smart phones. The next part will be me actually using the flip phone for a week and giving you a tour of it! I hope you enjoy!
