My 2004 BMW Z4 3.0I continues to have a flickering oil pressure light at idle. This could mean a multiple of things but the first thing to try is replacing the oil pressure sensor/sender. Luckily, a fresh oil change and sensor is all my car needed. I hope this helps someone.

This process is identical on all 2003-2005 BMW E85 Z4 models with a M54 inline 6 cylinder. Additionally, procedure is very similar on any BMW model equip with an M54 engine.
