First launch of rocket at ICHS Science Challenge Day (14/3/2008). Parachute failed to open at apogee, resulting in a catastrophic failure. The nose cone section of the rocket crumpled badly and separated from the main body. Astonishingly, the main body was salvageable, and was launched again later on the day.
