We ride the 2022 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR! Based on the stellar Speed Triple 1200 RS naked sportbike, the latest RR variant is a beauty of a motorcycle designed to give riders a superbike experience fit for the street.

Road-friendly yet track-capable is the design brief for the elegant new RR mode, that utilizes all of the Speed Triple 1200 RS's excellent components to carve out a unique niche within the sportbike segment. A few keen updates define the two machines, with an eye-catching bikini fairing and single headlight earning top marks in the looks department, Öhlins semi-active suspension, Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP rubber, and clip-on handlebars all aim to satisfy that superbike itch, without going too far.

We sent Senior Editor Nic de Sena to Ronda, Spain where he spent a full day twisting the 2022 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR's ride-by-wire throttle, taking to excellent mountain roads and also spinning some laps at the illustrious Ascari Race Resort.
