The 1991 Playboy Playboy Jazz Festival was the first Free community event in the Beverly Hills Park. It was sponsored by the Beverly Hills Restaurant Association. An estimated 25,000 people gathered in the park relaxing, singing, listening and dancing to the jazz music of headliners Joe Williams and the Capp-Pierce Juggernaut band. Local popular restaurants (some long gone) distributed free food to the crowd. It was a memorable event captured by amateur video of the day.
