In this video, I'll show you how to build a direct drive force feedback steering wheel using a cheap hoverboard motor and a bunch of other inexpensive electronics. The price is between 100 and 200 euros and the results blow out of the water any other wheel available for even double that price. The direct drive motor offers high torque and detailed feedback with 15nm of peak torque and fast acceleration. The build is very easy and it's a perfect beginner project to start getting into sim racing without breaking the bank.
