I am not keen on face coverings, especially this late in the day! But many countries still require them. I have heard and watched so much content around the fact that masks do or don’t work and the majority around N95 masks not essentially filtering particles of certain sizes. Instead of taking the words of these videos, I wanted to find out myself because my brain operates in that way of wanting to understand something for myself- instead of taking someone else’s word for it.

I was more surprised than I thought I would be by the results so you can see there is an argument for and against. I didn’t want to get into that with this video, really to just look at the science at a very low level of particle physics.

Please let me know if you would like to see anything else under a microscope or further tests with less or more efficient masks.

Such a polarising topic, even the search volume for masks has been removed from search. So I know this video won't get any views but I wanted to run the experiment anyway and record my results.
