Foley artists create the sounds of a character's movements and interactions with the world that you hear in movies. They use many types of objects to get the sounds just right. Sometimes they make these sounds just as you'd expect — but other times, Foley artists need to experiment to get just the right sound. Sometimes they try out various fruits to get something gruesome-sounding, and other times they need a squeaky piece of furniture to create just the right animal sound.
