Marquez went to Gresini this year to obtain a more competitive Ducati bike after an 11-year tenure at the Repsol Honda squad that produced six titles but no wins since 2021.

The more laid-back atmosphere at the family-run Italian business is a welcome change from the more formal Honda setting, where Marquez spent ten years working in a factory.

As a result, the Spaniard now has fewer obligations in the media and with sponsors, allowing him to spend more time with his family off the track.
