Throughout history humankind has always been drawn to fire; it provides warmth, protection and a place to gather. It is the symbol of community where ‘it warms from every side’ regardless of who we are or what we do. The Fire has a meditative quality where we can gather our thoughts, talk to our friends and make new ones. Even the most solitary journeys require the help of others at times and the Fire is a place where we can find that help. This compelling song of community, acceptance and encouragement is on Sami Yusuf’s 2014 album ‘The Centre’.

Sung in multiple languages (including English, Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Punjabi, Azeri), this exhilarating performance by the multi-instrumentalist, composer and renowned singer Sami Yusuf brings together world-class musicians from around the globe to take listeners on a musical journey of discovery.
