Why I Did Not Buy The Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing. In this video I highlight specific reasons as to why I did not buy this car and why I bought another 2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia QV. The Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is one of the most incredible sport sedans ever created and the only one with a proper manual transmission. After owning my 2023 BMW G80 M3 manual which sucked I was so eager to get another manual daily driven car again but it had to be a proper manual. The more research I did on these cars and the sum of the parts and other factors outside of my control it just never happened to park a Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing in my garage. The biggest issue with the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing car is the pricing and fact that you can not get a fully loaded or equal spec model in the low $70k range to sway you away from competitors who are willing to discount cars off MSRP. Once you factor in the prices of competitors from Audi, AMG, BMW M and Alfa Romeo and start dissecting the car further it might sway you in the same direction as it did for me not to buy it. GM has cost cut in so many areas of these models and spent thousands of hours with their engineers to fine tune the chassis through computers to almost make you forget what is under the skin. There is no fancy aluminum architecture or space age carbon fiber doing the work it is all computers and GM Performance Traction Management systems. Regardless of all this the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is an amazing driving car and so much fun but it is unfortunate that dealers were not and still not willing to cut money and make a deal on them. After I took delivery of my new 2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia QV I went to test drive it again just to see in my mind if I made the right or wrong decision. The dealer offered me $60,000 trade in on my brand new $92,000 Alfa Romeo with 68 miles on the odometer not even titled yet and it could be re-sold as a new car, this alone shows you where their strategy is. Cadillac dealers rather sit and rot on inventory and wait for Escalade V to be allocated so they can rape customers who want one for $55k over MSRP. My advice to anyone car shopping is be smart, do your research and do not settle. Buy the car that suits you best, your budget and identity and be patient.
