In this episode, I replace/upgrade a shower room extractor fan. The new fan is almost twice as powerful as its predecessor. It has multiple sensors including humidity, timer, light and odour. There is also a downloadable app which connects the fans sensors and speed to your phone via Bluetooth.

At the time of writing this, the Vent-Axia Pureair fan cost roughly £140.00

The Icon airflow fan which we replaced cost £70.00 at the time of writing this. It was replaced due to its inability to extract enough steam from the shower room in the requested amount of time by the customer. I originally went through many of the comparisons between the two fans in the filming of this video. As per usual, much of it is now on the cutting room floor. I will leave a brief comparison here for anyone who is interested in the quality of ‘upgrade’ which has been promoted upon the shower room. The Icon fan required 9.2w and extracted 67m³/hr and has a 3-year warranty. The Vent-Axia fan requires only 5w and extracted 115m³/hr and has a 7-year warranty.
