After spending a week with the Mazda 3 Turbo Sedan, I was reluctant to let it go back to the press dungeon. But in this time I started to fall in love with this 2022 Mazda 3 Turbo Sedan as a daily, especially with Mazda’s new premium ethos. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
@Alllcarnews Spec Sheet: Under the hood is the 2.5L Turbo 4 making 250HP (227HP in 87 octane) and 320 lb-ft of torque, (310 lb-ft of torque on 87 octane) a decent amount of power in a tiny sedan. Power is sent to all four wheels only through a surprisingly good 6-Speed automatic.

+The Mazda 3 Turbo drives fantastically. The steering and the steering wheel are perfect with a nice balance, good weight all without being too heavy. It is NOT a sports car but rather a premium car with better than average handling, grip, and torque.

+The interior.. for $34k as tested, is class leading by a long-shot & gives an A-Class or 2 series gran coupe a run for their money. Materials are luxury car level with supportive seats, satisfying buttons and no hard cheap plastics.

+Exterior styling is clean and subtle for a little sleeper sedan thought the hatchback offers more sporty elements in the turbo trim. Kodo design still is a top tier.

-Rear legroom is.. not good. I can barely sit behind myself (i’m 6ft tall/ 182cm).

-For the premium plus package, I wish Mazda included power mirrors, a power passenger seat, and maybe even cooled seats.

-The i-Activ safety sense systems work though are by far class leading. Subaru’s EyeSight offers better active lane keep/steering assist, though I prefer Mazda’s radar cruise control.

ACN EXTRA: Love the sedan, but even still I would take the Hatch just for the looks. Huge thanks to @MazdaUSA for providing this Mazda 3 Turbo for the week!
